Cambridge has one of the oldest universities in the world and is a city full of tradition, within a few short steps you can peak into the glorious spires of King’s, the quadrangles of Christ’s College, Trinity and many more each steeped in over 800 years of tradition.

Voted Cambridge’s favourite chocolate shop Chocolat Chocolat is found in historic centre of the city opposite Emmanuel College and just around the corner from Downing College in a 19th century building.


Since it opened in 2009 Chocolat Chocolat can’t claim to have the same long history as the rest of the city, but the shop and it’s range of luxury chocolates are steeped in the traditions of the independent chocolatier.

On most days you can look through the shop window and see one of their chocolatiers making their famous sheet chocolate right in front of your eyes. If you take a few steps inside and the smell of chocolate will immediately take you back to the traditional chocolate shops of years gone by, but brought up to date.

Chocolat Chocolat is famous for it’s handmade sheet chocolate, made with the finest Belgian chocolate in a unique French Style brought from France by their chocolatier Isabelle, not see anywhere else the wavy sheets of chocolate are sprinkled with ingredients form across the world, French Sea Salt, Turkish Hazelnuts, Freeze Dried Raspberries all select to give flavour combinations that combine the familiar with the unusual.

Whenever we are making chocolate we always make sure we have sample available for our customer to taste; it’s a little thank you for popping into seeing us, don’t forget to call in for a little taster when you are passing. Other chocolates are selected from small chocolatiers in France and Belgium, many of which are made just for us, our range of confectionary includes Nougat, Chocolate Spreads, Cocoa and lots more.

Chocolat ChocolatIn the colder months our Hot Chocolate has a fan base all of it’s own and in the summer our hand made ice cream is famed across the city and an essential treat for any summers day. Not only do we offer one of the tastiest ranges of chocolates found, we also can teach you more about chocolate in our Chocolate making or tasting courses

Our chocolatier learnt her craft in Paris and Belgium, but she scours the world for exciting chocolates and flavours, always looking for tastes that excite the palette. Coming from a Fashion background she believes that chocolate should look as good as it tastes and she ensures that our range of gifts look as good as they taste and are a perfect gift.
